On December 29, the 100,000-spindle yarn production project (Cotton Industry Technology Demonstration Zone) of Kashgar Xintou Textile Technology, constructed by MCC Tiangong Group, was completed and put into operation. This further enhances the overall capacity and competitiveness of Xinjiang's textile industry.

Located in the Kashgar Area of the China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the project covers a total floor area of 192,600 square meters. Its main construction includes factory buildings along with supporting facilities such as a raw material storage yard, a comprehensive power station, a service center, a testing center, a spare parts warehouse, and a waste cotton processing workshop. Upon completion, the project will drive coordinated development across the upstream and downstream industrial chains, promote the agglomeration and integration of industries including cotton cultivation, textile printing and dyeing, and garment processing, and ultimately form a complete industrial ecosystem. This will enhance both the overall capacity and comprehensive competitiveness of Xinjiang's textile industry.

Kashgar maintains a stable cotton planting area of approximately 7 million mu (about 466,667 hectares), ranking as the second-largest cotton-producing region in Xinjiang. As a nationally significant base for high-quality commercial cotton, Kashgar is committed to building a complete textile and apparel industrial chain system, transforming from its historic role as a "Silk Road cotton hub" into a prominent "emerging textile hub."

As the core project of the Autonomous Region's Cotton Industry Technology Demonstration Zone, construction on the project commenced on July 31, 2025. Upon becoming fully operational in 2026, it is projected to produce 250,000 tons of high?quality yarn annually. The project will also directly create approximately 3,500 stable local jobs, generating an annual wage income increase of 240 million yuan.

Wang Liang, Project Manager of MCC Tiangong Group, stated that during the equipment installation and commissioning phase, technical personnel worked closely with core engineers from the equipment suppliers to verify the positioning of each machine and the connections of every pipeline interface. On December 15, 2025, the installation and commissioning of the project's equipment were completed ahead of schedule. The following day, the first batch of high?quality yarn was trial?produced in the modernized plant, marking the full transition of this technologically advanced, green, and intelligent spinning mill into production and operation.
